Sail on a Wildlife holiday to the Scottish islands on the West coast.

Travelling by sail is slow, quiet and close to the water, which is exactly where you want to be for birds and marine life. Provident’s Shiant Islands voyage heads for one of the most remote corners of our season. Around ten per cent of the UK puffin population and seven per cent of UK razorbills breed here each year, alongside large colonies of guillemots, kittiwakes and other cliff nesting species. The surrounding seas and steep cliffs support a highly productive and sensitive ecosystem.

VOYAGE TO A REMOTE SEALIFE TREASURE

DATE: 19th - 26th JULY 2027
DURATION: 7 nights
EMBARK: MALLAIG
DISEMBARK: MALLAIG

PRICE: £1,895

Our summertime base at Mallaig opens up the Northen Hebridean Islands. Our target for this trip will be the Shiants, a tiny group of islands between Skye and Lewis. There are many great spots on the west of Scotland for wildlife but the sheer number of puffins found here has to be seen to be believed.
